March 2010 Booster Meeting / Feb. Meeting Minutes March 18, 2010  Booster Club will hold their next meeting on March 9, 2010 in the Track Field House @ 7:00 pm.February Minutes: The meeting was called to order at 6:15 by Chris Snedden at the new Field House. In attendance were Chris Snedden, Coach Parker, Coach Fuller, Nancy Johnson, Susan Cooper, Debbie Diskerud, Bob Diskerud, Terri Smith, Dusty Smith and Janice Sanders. Chris read the notes from the January meeting. Susan reviewed the fundrasing letter, and passed around the team pictures to be used in the letter. The kids are to bring back a minimum of six names, addresses and stamps. If they do this by a deadline to be determined by Coach Parker, they will receive a Ram string bag. Currently waiting for the string bags to arrive, and then the coach will kick the project off with the kids. 144 bags have been ordered and should arrive in approximately one week. Extra bags can be sold at home meets and the Ram Run. We are waiting for an update from Coach Mac on status of new jerseys for Cross Country team. Banquet will be held on May 18th in the Wellness Center. The committee signup form was circulated. The reservation has been confirmed with Coach Patterson. Nancy gave the Treasurers report. She will be expecting the invoice for the string bags. Coach Parker gave the Coach's report. The team is officially in the new field house. He talked about the State Champion wall. There is a plaque displayed for each individual who has won a State Championship in OHS history. The school records are displayed as well. Pittsburgh State meet is Saturday, February 13th. Field events will start at 11, running events at 2, and the team will leave at 8. Runners will be unattached: they need to bring $15 each. Ram Cards will be kicked off on Feb 22nd, and the selling period will be for one week. There will be Owasso Pole Vault meets on February 19th and 26th; both start at 9:00. Kohls is helping with the meet on the 26th. Jr HIgh track will start on February 22nd. There will be Parent Information Meetings on Thursday, February 18th. The meeting for seventh graders will be at 6:00 at the Seventh Grade Center. The meeting for the eighth graders will be at 7:00 at the Sixth Grade Center. Coach Nantois will be the Junior High Head Coach, assisted by Coaches Gray, Bilyeu and Martin. Danielle Brown will also be assisting. Ram Relays will be held on Friday, March 26th. The Junior High meet will be Tuesday, March 23rd. Further details will be discussed at the March meeting. Coach Fuller gave an update on the polevaulting team. Dusty gave an update on the Ram Run. Joe Hughes has been confirmed for the timing results. Various marketing options were discussed. Chris will update the registration form. Discussed various locations to register runners. Discussed idea of including a Fun Run. Sponsor list was updated. Susan received copy of Sponsor Letter from Chris. Discussed ways to find additional sponsors. Discussed menu and gift ideas for upcoming track banquet. Next meeting will be on March 9th at 7:00 at the Field House. Meeting adjourned at 7:50.
